A Cannabis Guide for Mothers by Mothers

We asked one of our on-staff moms to give us a rundown of her favorite plant products.

Greetings Friends:

My journey with cannabis is very new. I did not start appreciating this plant until my mid-40s. As a former city girl, I love being around the plant in the fields of the Berkshires. The aromatic scent of the terpenes alone improves my wellbeing.

Genius from 1906 (Edible)

I love that this pill only takes about 20 minutes to kick in. 1906 has patented a process called Lipid Micro Encapsulation, which makes the THC easier (and quicker) to digest. Another thing I love is the use of natural herbs sourced from around the world. The Genius pill offers Rhodiola and Bacopa, the later of which has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years to help support long and short-term memory.

Farnsworth Body Oil

This is a lovely addition to the bedtime routine. It’s especially nice on the hands and cuticles. The lavender is the perfect accent. Not too strong. Not too faint. The texture makes your feel like pure silk and the effect is total relaxation, without getting high.

Loose Flower Power

Last but not least, I really love loose cannabis flower. Studying the flower for its medicinal benefits makes me very excited. There is a wonderful intention in the preparation and is nice way to just stop and take a moment for myself. Farnsworth offers a wonderful selection of flower and always selects the very best for their Farnsworth cigarettes.

It takes a lot of the guesswork out of the process for those who are new to cannabis, at least new to legal cannabis.

But if you are looking for something more specific, I don't like to emphasize THC content when choosing a strain. Instead I focus on certain terpene profiles. Super Sour Diesel's terpene profile has a Pinene for alertness and focus, Myrcene for a muscle relaxer and Limonene, citrus note for energy and uplifting mood.
